Best Private Home

Bjarne Mastenbroek and Christian Muller have designed this one of a kind, award-winning private home based in Switzerland. I was so amazed by its construction and even more amazed by the fact that it is consolidated with the environment. The interiors are actually made up of concrete, emanating a cool atmosphere with a touch of warmth and comfort brought by the choice of furniture surrounding the space.
The best thing about this villa is that anyone from anywhere in the world is more than welcome to experience what it feels like to live in such a home, as they rent the place out :)

Home of Jamie Laubhan-Oliver and Larry Oliver

Situated in the renowned neighborhood of Dallas, this residential space belongs to art director Jamie Laubhan-Oliver and designer Larry Oliver for Neiman Marcus (The Book). The interiors are spectacular, the idea of having a black and white theme using antique furniture, with a spunk of art deco is absolutely appealing as it radiates a classic and deluxe mood. Love it.

Exclusive Vintage Apartment

I am not at all a fan of pink, nevertheless the incorporation of the old and new in this apartment is very impressive! Recycled collectables have been used to garnish the place, as well as some interesting classic elements such as the chandeliers. I like that the space emits an industrial feel due to its color palette and certain furnishings. However, my favorite thing about this whole place would have to be the SMEG fridge that definitely brings life to the kitchen, I have always been fascinated by those and desperately want one for myself. I don't own a home as of yet, but when I do, I most certainly will make space for that fridge!

Soho Synagogue

I never thought that I would ever write a post about a synagogue but this one is a must see! This space was actually once a Gucci store in Crosby Street and designer Dror Benshetritt managed to transform it into a modish Soho Synagogue. I think the whole strategy of integrating spiritual conventions with trend-setting aesthetics is just brilliant, and what is more tasteful is the fact that most of the elements within the confines of this space are actually re-used materials.

W Retreat & Spa

Located in Bali, Indonesia, this spa is designed by AB Concept "an accomplished design firm with an eye for the unique".
When I came across those images, I noticed that I was immediately engaged by the fact that the entire space consists of furniture that have a rounded and slightly elongated shape, which by the way is a FIRST as I am more of a linear person. I like the choice of certain colors, such as the yellow seating and electric blue cushions, they are definitely a touch of courage and worked out perfectly great!

Overby Villa by John Robert Nilsson

John Robert Nilsson is the designer behind this utterly gorgeous villa. Situated in Sweden, this extremely extensive home has been built with the most stern requirements regarding the quality of being exact and accurate in terms of executing its sophisticated design. Its located at the very top of a rocky headland which is probably the best thing about this place as it offers wide views across the bay as well as the outlook of the sunset/rise to the west. You just couldn't ask for more!

"For the inside they have used materials such as Limestone, silvery white ash, matte white painted walls. An infinity pool is at the outer edge of the stone block and the stairs leading down to the bay and the pier."

It is always the simple and the spacious that look glamorous and this most definitely is MY cup of tea. Translucent walls is always a plus!

Mirtillo Table

Check out this simple curvilinear piece of furniture called the "Mirtillo Table" by designer Nicola Lo. I like its unusual shape and it certainly is not a typical coffee table. Perfectly suitable for any contemporary home.

The Penthouse that screams 'Luxury'

When looking through the pictures- the instant words that came to me were 'Lap of Luxury'. Located in Sydney, Australia, this beauty of a penthouse is designed by Harry Seider who was able to prove that the interior design is just outstanding. I'm drawn into the color palette within the whole space, I especially like the lighting by the spiral staircase and the the idea of the bold colored decorative wall in the living room, it makes the area look detailed and definitely illustrates opulence.
The penthouse consists of five bedrooms, including an aquarium that is located in the middle of the living room for a restful feel, a spa, a walk-in dressing, a home cinema, a gym, a pool and a private roof terrace! Need I say more?
