The city of Sunderland has now been provided with a collection of British designer Charlie Davidson's funky stools, made out of polymer based cement with colored quartz and marble aggregate.
"This idea was a direct response to the brief which asked designers to draw pedestrians into the east side of town and the newly furbished Sunniside gardens from Sunderland city centre"
I really like the random positioning of the stools with the different colored lighting underneath, it integrates pretty well with the streets.
Check out Chris Burch's (former husband of Tory Burch) latest retail concept 'C.Wonder' in SoHo. The store had just recently opened its doors for the world to see. It consists of five different destination-influenced surroundings and provides you with almost everything from fashion to home decor to lifestyle. I like the choice of colors and patterns for the interiors, they radiate a cheerful and playful feel, which is a bonus for the retailers as they succeeded in creating such a fanciful ambience, all their items are showcased in beautiful manner that it would certainly make me want to spend my money in there!
Take a tour around this winsome renovated apartment designed by Italian architect Carola Vannini. As if being situated just near the Colosseum in Italy wasn't enough, the designer managed to create something quite contrary to my and probably even your expectations, considering that it is located by the Colosseum, Vannini generated a fresh and contemporary home filled with natural daylight, as well as an added lighting system that gives prominence to the depth of the space. I simply love the white furniture with the wooden flooring; it emits an airy and modern atmosphere.
The Taiwan Noodle House restaurant located in Beijing is designed by Golucci International Design. I'm really astonished by the originality of the interiors of this place, it is so simple yet dramatic. The designers have done an amazing job by using the different size cultural bowls as a decorative wall, as it definitely grabs one's attention and probably what makes the restaurant more memorable. I was mainly drawn to the chopsticks that were beautifully designed to act as wind chime on the ceiling. To me, that would have to be the focal element of the space. I'm inspired.
Young Miami aritist Alex Turco has managed to allocate his original works of art worldwide with his series of wall panels and I am not talking about the regular kind! Other than his paintings, Turco has gained the love and respect of the world with his incredible waterproof resin wall panels that are an assortment from a constant range of designs. Not only does he master the art of painting, but he is also a Photographer, Digital Illustrator and Interior Designer. Quite impressive for a 28 year old I must say.
Turco has made it evident that there is no limit to creativity by using various techniques to achieve eye-catching results.
