London Design Festival 2011

The London Design Festival is a yearly nine-day design event that was first organized in September 2003 to display different works of art and design of the people of the city. The programme consists of  installations, seminars and exhibitions, mostly free of charge permitting the visitors to take part and acquire products. There were over 250 events going on and I am only posting my favorites, starting with in my opinion, the best compared to the rest:

"Perspectives" at St.Paul's Cathedral generated by Sir Christopher Wren, where amazing architect John Pawson who collaborated with Swarovski Crystal Palace created an installation that was meant to reinforce Sir Christopher Wren's intention, that each and every one of his buildings need to embrace a scientific feature. Therefore Pawson designed  a colossal lens formed of metal and Swarovski crystal to allow the visitors to view the details beneath the spectacular staircase as you are looking down from the top, which emphasizes Pawson's huge appreciation for the masterpiece and that this sweet gesture is merely to take notice of Sir Christopher Wren's outstanding work.

My Cupcake, Qurum, Oman

Nada Al-Moosa has just opened up a heavenly cupcake shop called "My Cupcake" that is situated just opposite Qurum park and I recommend that each and every one of you give it a shot! The space is quite small however, the interiors are aesthetically pleasing. The color palette mainly consists of pink and white, emitting a feminine and somewhat of a playful feel, especially with the choice of knickknacks showcased within the space. 
I am a sucker for cream cheese, even so, my personal favorite cupcake would have to be "Go Bananas".

Breakfast At Tiffany's!

To all the travelers and fans of Audrey Hepburn, say Hello to The St.Regis New York's 1,700 square foot Tiffany Suite! Going at $8,500 a night, this hotel suite consists of a selection of luxury furnishings such as the chandeliers in the dining and living room and the beautiful marble bathtubs that just exude sheer lavishness - and let us not forget the sublime color palette that has been used within the space, especially that one color that we are all pretty aware of "Tiffany Blue"...

Santa Barbara Beach House

Here's another residential post on an interior space that is occupied by what you would normally see outdoors. This beach house designed by Richard Hallberg and Barbara Wiseley is quite the sensational kind I must say, even more so due to the fact that is located just between the ocean and a tidal bird sanctuary. 
What I personally like about this beach house is the fact that the entire space is almost surrounded by an assortment of different antique items, adding a massive touch of originality and personality to the home. Check it out!

Piracicaba House

Situated in Brazil and designed by architect Isay Weinfeld, this house is utterly eye-catching and mainly because the entire structure is characterized by geometry, which is always a personal favorite for me!
The house was generated in the city of Piracicaba "to serve as a meeting point for a family whose members are scattered across various cities around the state"

Zuo-Corp. Pop-Up Shop

Polish architects Super Super and Inside/Outside have created this exceptional 27 square meter clothing store located in Warsaw. The interiors are entirely occupied with mirrors and LED lights lining around the corners of the area, adding to the misconception of an abundant amount of space and garments!
The structure of the outside was built according to Warsaw's heavy weather during the winter ensuring that it is protected even at temperatures as low as -20° C. Outstanding. Is it not?
